Emporio

Emporio is the largest village of Santorini located at the foot of Mount Prophet Elias and in the past was the centre for trade for Santorini.
At the village entrance stands two churches with spectacular bell towers leading the way to the village with its medieval charm.
Most of the village houses are well preserved and inside the village you will find the kastelli dating back to the 16th century.
In this area you will also find the Garrilos hills with their traditional windmills and spectacular views.
In the main town you will find bars, cafes and restaurants however the advantage

is that it is close to Perissa. In Emporio for accommodation there are a few hotels and traditional houses can be found here, remember it is a quieter village than its neighbour Perrisa.
